Welcome to our Finnish Sauna Experience!
Need some time away to decompress? Begin your healing journey with the calming and detoxifying effects of a true Finnish sauna at our bluff top retreat.
We invested in a 40,000 BTU propane stove for our sauna which is more user-friendly and less fussy than a wood burning stove. Our clean burning sauna envelops you in a consistent, moist heat so you can sit back and relax.
Your 90 minute session includes:
- A two minute introduction tour of the sauna, open air shower/cool off rinse area and the fire pit.
- A very private changing area adjacent to the hot room.
- A towel to sit on (see Sauna Guidelines) and a towel to dry yourself after your open-air shower and to wrap yourself in.
- Insulated cups for hydrating beverages. If you choose to bring your own, please choose beverages that are canned or in a refillable container. Glass/plastic bottles are difficult for us to recycle.
- Access to the fire pit which will be lit for you.
Each sauna session typically takes 10-15 minutes. After your first session, sit and cool off on the porch, relax and take in the view. When you're ready for a second (or third!) session, pop back into the hot room for another 10-15 minutes.
When you are finished with your session(s) in the hot room, there is an open-air rinse off/cool off area complete with an overhead shower head and a hand-held shower head for you to use.
After your sauna experience, enjoy some time by the fire, wrapped in the solitude of the woods and starry sky. Bring water or your own libation to re-hydrate by the fire pit.
